Python Job: Python developer - Data analyst

Project Description

Large US based investment fund is looking for a support engineer having strong Unix administration skills and development experience.
The successful candidate will be working with global teams operating and developing a financial data platform.

Responsibilities

• Understand the market and other data that supplies the data pipeline.
• Understand and support the schemas and other machine consumable documentation describing our data.
• Research, develop and support end user questions about our data.
• Troubleshoot the data normalization and enrichment systems.
• Troubleshoot the system for generating statistics from realtime market data.
• Work with researchers and portfolio managers to solve problems related to their data needs.

• Proven development experience with the Python programming language
• Experience with market data and financial services
